The abrdn Adviser Sales channel is dedicated to making us the easiest business to work with. Our team’s goal is to build, develop, and retain partnerships with adviser firms across the UK by maximizing growth potential and enhancing the overall customer experience.

About the Role

We are seeking customer-driven individuals to join our Distribution team, offering specialist expertise, building relationships, and ensuring we always do the right thing for both our customers and our business.

As a Platform Consultant, you will provide bespoke support services to Wrap and Elevate platform users within advisory firms. You’ll be responsible for implementing, training on, and embedding the platform proposition within advisory partners’ businesses.

Please note that this is a field based role that will cover the North Of England.

Although this is a home-based role, you will need a full driving licence and be prepared to travel within the North West, North East or Yorkshire (Dependent upon your location) to offer face-to-face training and consultancy support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and building partnerships with multiple individuals across IFA businesses.

  • Using creative problem-solving and questioning techniques to support platform users.

  • Collaborating with Sales and internal teams throughout the sign-up process and beyond.

  • Training advisory firms and supporting them through necessary business changes.

  • Embedding Wrap & Elevate platform processes.

  • Supporting onboarding, transfers, and new business activities.

  • Providing feedback and serving as the voice of the client to abrdn.

  • Using management information (MI) to analyse IFA platforms and offer user support.

Key Competencies:

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate information, ideas, and plans with both internal and external stakeholders through written and oral channels.

  • Experience of offering consulting support, advice, and guidance to internal colleagues, identifying requirements, and proposing solutions that meet business needs.

  • Understanding of the markets, competitors, products, services, trends, and factors influencing abrdn’s operations.

  • In-depth understanding of customer needs and how abrdn’s products and propositions meet these requirements.

  • Ability to efficiently organise, prioritise, and delegate work activities to accomplish tasks and meet objectives.

  • Managing projects/programmes with a disciplined approach, tracking resources, timelines, costs, and performance to ensure successful delivery.
