About the Role & Program

As part of our Global PR team, the Public Relations Intern will support global PR campaigns and special projects for the Disney Experiences segment. We work closely with partners across the organization to deliver compelling content, media, and social tactics that break through the noise to showcase the Disney difference!

What You Will Do

This role demands a highly motivated individual with a creative and adaptable approach who will bring fresh thinking and a forward-thinking method to this internship. We are looking for candidates who embody optimism, demonstrate self-starting initiative, and showcase strong attention to detail! The position encompasses responsibilities such as:

  • Support strategic PR planning and execution for campaigns, special projects, global food & beverage offerings, and International Parks initiatives for Disney Experiences
  • Draft communication plans, blog posts, press releases, and social copy
  • Support PR activities such as press/influencer events, photoshoots, media visits, etc.
  • Identify creative content opportunities for various digital and social platforms
  • Support strategic content/media planning, long-term planning, and presentations to/for partners
  • Maintain organized PR team trackers, reports, and miscellaneous administrative tasks
  • Supervise landscape for trending content, social and PR strategies that can drive the business in new and innovative ways

  • Proficiency in basic computer functions crucial to operating in a Mac/MS Office environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Disney products and culture
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Previous relevant internship experience
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and Microsoft Excel

Education

  • Currently pursuing or have recently completed, a bachelor’s degree, in Public Relations, Public Affairs, Communications, Journalism, Customer Engagement, Social Communication, Broadcast Communications, or other relevant area.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Be aligned with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025.
  • Ability to work FULL-TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship.
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
