Department Overview

Our Audit service line is transforming the way in which we audit, through the adoption of analytics, automation and AI, and we are on looking for a strong senior data analyst to help supercharge our journey! You will be part of the team that designs, builds and deploys cutting edge analytical solutions to bring insights to the fingertips of our audit teams and clients. This position will expose you to some exciting industries such as Technology, Manufacturing and Telecommunication whilst also allowing you to collaborate with clients locally and globally. We are looking for a passionate individual, who is self-motivated, capable of using their own initiative and have the ability to identify opportunities to deploy analytics, automation or AI within our processes.

Main responsibilities:

  • Bring our clients’ data to life by extracting actionable insights through the deployment of cutting-edge analytics solutions.

  • Collaborate with non-technical teams to design and build market-leading digital audit products.

  • Ensure the timely delivery of analytical outputs and manage tasks ranging from data acquisition and data transformation to data mining, for example.

  • Bring an innovative mindset to workshops and partner with our internal teams to challenge the status quo of external audit by designing and developing world class solutions.

Skills and attributes:

Soft skills required to succeed in the role include:

  • A proven self-starter who is proactive in identifying and acting on opportunities to improve how we work through the adoption of analytics, automation and AI.

  • Excellent communication skills and being able to work closely with non-technical teams as well as clients.

  • Strong organisational skills, be methodical, with strong attention to detail.

  • Outstanding analytical skills and an enjoyment for problem solving.

Technical skills include:

  • Exposure to external audit or accounting/finance.

  • Hands on experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau and/or ThoughtSpot.

  • The ability to manipulate data with scripting languages such as SQL and/or R/Python.

  • Experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx or Knime.
