Position Overview

We are looking for a Sales Operations Manager as we continue with our growth and expand our Data Center Solutions. We are looking for a someone that is entrepreneurial with a multi faceted skill set. This person must be able to manage and connect multiple departments, think on their feet, find solutions and multitask. In this position, the successful candidate will be hands-on handling the day-to-day sales support operations in the Plano Office and collaborating with internal teams, customers, suppliers and the manufacturing facility.

  • The position will regularly work onsite in our Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Office (Plano), but should be available to travel as needed - less than 20% travel may be required at times.  Travel reimbursement will be provided. 
  • This is a full-time position offering full benefits, a competitive salary, paid training, and performance-based bonuses. This is an entrepreneurial role that will be compensated for helping to grow the business and successfully accomplish business goals and initiatives. 

 Responsibilities

  • Supervises sales operations including growth objectives, executing department goals and special projects
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Daily Onsite Management of the Local Plano, TX Team including the following functions:
    • Purchasing/Pricing/Procurement
    • CW and Document Control
    • Close Out P&L / Project Close Out
    • Look for opportunities to expand where they add value
  • Inventory tracking in various regions
    • Internal and project orders
  • Warehouse Management
    • Improve Inventory Management – What products do we truly use repeatedly and lead times put us at risk
    • Other warehouse uses – opportunities to add value to the business, such as pre-built cabinets / racks for data center deployment
  • Maintaining on-going contact with all parties involved in order to keep up-to-date procurement information and to ensure completeness and correctness of shipping documentation, quality control inspections and other procurement-related items.
  • Work closely with the Legal, Compliance and Accounting departments keeping track of any issues, and incoming and outgoing transactions.

  • Effectively communicate throughout the Data Center Solutions Line of Business and help support projects and initiatives as needed - implement action plans with a sense of urgency to ensure the attainment of overall Data Center Solutions sales operations goals and objectives.
  • Confer and collaborate with other departments to develop an efficient workflow that will ensure customer demands are met.
  • Help with risk mitigation for Sales Operations and the Data Center Solutions Line of Business
  • Manage continuous improvement within the warehouse and operations functions in conjunction with the Data Center Solutions Leadership
  • Consult with internal customers to improve upon current logistics processes; implement appropriate corrective actions or improvements
  • Review and analyze causes of bottlenecks, scheduling and material management problems; implement effective corrective action to resolve the problems.
  • Focus on preventing and reducing unplanned schedule changes by tracking and communicating root causes to missed schedule adherence.

Requirements

In summary, we seek a motivated and entrepreneurial sales operations professional with Data Center industry knowledge. Supervisory, supply chain management, and warehouse management experience will be helpful. This person must he resourceful and results oriented. Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience to help launch and manage a new Integrated Rack Build Service for our Data Center Solutions clients.  

  • Bachelor’s Degree - B.S. in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a comparable field preferred.
  • Five to ten years of progressive responsibility in sales operations, sales support, and/or supply chain management.
  • Must be familiar with the Data Center Industry
  • Must be a motivated, entrepreneurial out of the box thinker
  • Experience in warehouse management and procurement is a plus
  • Proven team management experience
  • Integrated Rack Build Experience
  • Experience developing and implementing methods and procedures designed to eliminate customer delivery problems and improve delivery times
  • Understanding of general finance & budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management is a plus
  • Be able to work with a high standard of performance and personal integrity
  • Able to confer and work cross-functionally with sales team and operations teams, and with customer representatives as needed to build a successful working relationships
  • Experience using relevant data to make informed decisions and/or recommendations to senior leadership
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and works well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong Excel and MS Office Skills are required
