Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Business & Team:

Business Bank (BB) offer a wide range of financial services, products and solutions to our small to medium customers, our corporate / major client group customers and our regional and agribusiness customers

Impact & contribution:

You are passionate about all things data related and how the BB can increase its competitive advantage and create value through the effective and efficient use of data.

The team will leverage technical platforms such as the Teradata Group Data Warehouse and OMNIA Hadoop, as well as Business Intelligence tools such as Alteryx and Tableau to develop and manage data,  then industrialise these activities and deliver insights to influence and inform our go-to-market activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Working across the full lifecycle of agile projects (ideation through implementation)
• Elicit requirements from key stakeholders, including senior management, using a variety of methods, including facilitation of workshops, to capture business requirements.
• Partner with senior business stakeholders to identify impacts to business processes and make informed recommendations.
• Ensure attributes of data, relationships between data elements and sources of data are defined and mapped.
• Utilize technical, subject matter and domain expertise, ensuring solution recommendations are aligned with overall Group enterprise architecture.
• Proactive management of deliverables according to project timelines
• Continuously improve existing systems and processes to improve quality and efficiency
• Design and development of Big Data and Data warehouse applications Liaise with Risk to facilitate crews and squads to create and maintain appropriate Riskin Site controls

Essential Skills:

• 4+ years’ experience as Data Engineer preferably gained in Banking and Finance, especially Business Banking area
• Degree/diploma in Information Technology/Management
• Teradata   certification - Desirable
• Hadoop   Ecosystem Certification – Desirable
• Strong Data focused Technical business analysis – Mandatory
• High level & detailed solution design and implementation – Mandatory.
• Strong SQL Skills – Mandatory.
• Big Data platform skills (Hadoop) –Highly Desirable.
• Experience in Teradata Basic Knowledge – Mandatory.
• Basic knowledge on the CI/CD pipelines.
• Should have strong error de-bugging skills.
• Strong data design (logical and physical) skills – Mandatory
• Solid knowledge and experience in Banking, Finance and Commercial Lending
• Drive to learn and grow in a complex environment

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
