About the team 

FIS Securities processing suite consists of the integration of various FIS products to provide a complete 360 solution to our clients in the Securities processing domain.  FIS helps to mitigate the burden of front-middle-back-office technology requirements and allows our clients to focus on revenue-generating initiatives.

In this securities processing suite of products, our team works on enhancing and maintaining Stream Gateway products. FIS's Stream SGW is a gateway for an automated clearing and settlement service that consolidates and controls multiple messaging interfaces via one browser-based platform. It connects custodians, broker-dealers, banks, and futures brokers to custodians, depositories, and clearing institutions for trade comparison, reconciliation, clearance, and settlement. Delivered in an ASP environment, StreamGateway helps to eliminate the need to build and manage separate bilateral connections.

What you will be doing (About Role):

In this position, you will be working with the team to develop a backend software solution to concurrently process real-time data into a product database.

• Analyze, design, program, modify, and debug software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in the core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
• Interacts with product managers and users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Develop concurrent, distributed, asynchronous enterprise real-time processing applications.
• Provide L3 support and key input to post-mortems/retrospectives of key events.
• Become a subject matter expert on one or more of the key platforms, technology, and integration points as part of the overall solutions
• Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on systems application.
• May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
• Evaluate and identify new technologies and implement the same in product/solution
• Convert business requirements into executable code solutions.
• Code, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain software applications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

SKILLS & ABILITIES (What you bring):

• 5+ years of professional experience in developing Java, JEE & Spring-based applications.
• Expertise in developing products/solutions using Java SE (8,11,17) & JEE (EJB, JDBC, JMS)
• Expertise in building products/solutions using Spring Framework and JPA (Hibernate)
• Knowledge of messaging technologies like MQ / RabbitMQ/ JMS and Kafka
• Experience in developing SOA/API-based applications using SOAP/REST web services
• Experience in developing Microservices based solutions using Spring + Docker
• Knowledge of data formats such as FIX, FIXML, XML, and JSON would be a plus.
• Experience in developing applications using any of the databases like Oracle / MySQL / SQL Server / DB2 / PostgreSQL and writing SQL queries and PL/SQL programs is required. 
• Experience with any of the JEE App Servers e.g.: WebSphere Process Server, WebLogic, JBoss
• Experience using Kafka or equivalent distributed event streaming platform.
• Experience in developing distributed asynchronous solutions using any messaging platform.
• Experience with the build tools such as Maven, ANT, and IDE like Eclipse & others
• Hands-on knowledge of the UNIX Shell scripting, LINUX/Unix advanced level is required.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with any OSB (Oracle Service BUS) will be an added advantage
• Knowing Volante Designer Studio will be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of UX technologies, Angular, AG Grid, and HTML5 will add an advantage.
• Experience in post-trade processing and settlement in securities and/or derivatives domain.
• Experience budling applications using Domain Driven Design and Event Driven Architecture.
• Familiarity with Python and other programming languages
• Working knowledge of GIT, Jira, Confluence, Experience with Agile and test-driven development
