What Production Set-up and Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Production Setup and Maintenance sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective actions on manufacturing machinery, facility systems, and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process systems, including motors, drives, pumps, valves, chains, and belts, to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Complete repairs in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records in Cardinal Health's CMMS system. Verify, revise, and update preventive maintenance procedures as required.
Install, test, and support new equipment, upgrades, and validations while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
Support product trials, testing, equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), and maintenance activities in compliance with GMP, FDA, and ISO 13485 requirements.
Assist with maintaining inventories of critical spare parts, tools, and materials.
Coordinate, schedule, and direct activities for external contractors, trades personnel, and third-party vendors as needed.
Perform other maintenance and machine-related duties as assigned.
Participate in an on-call rotation and weekend coverage schedule.
Qualifications:
2–4 years of maintenance experience preferred.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Works with limited supervision. Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
Anticipated hourly range: $25.20 per hour - $39.60 per hour
