Position Summary

The Enterprise Procurement Director of Accounts Payable is responsible for managing the day-to-day Accounts Payable team and processes, with a focus on implementing solutions that drive process efficiencies and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction for internal and external stakeholders. In addition, this position is responsible for the accurate Balance Sheet and Cash Flow budgeting and forecasting activities across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage processes for both onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely and accurate invoice and payment processing across $200B+ in annual disbursements, inclusive of both direct and indirect vendors.

NOTE: This is a true hybrid role and you must be able to report into the Woonsocket, RI and or Hartford, CT office.


Job Responsibilities will include:

  • Support the annual, quarterly and monthly Accounts Payable Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasts, including flux reporting to senior finance leaders across the segments.
  • Work with Treasury and Finance leadership on the working capital R&O and optimization initiatives.
  • Manage the invoicing processes for both direct (merchandise) and indirect (SG&A) purchases; ensuring appropriate controls around the 3-way match, 2-way match, and approval processes.
  • Manage vendor related inquiries and disputes, with a focus on implementing solutions to reduce volumes while ensuring our customers get the information they need.
  • Manage and ensure appropriate controls around vendor setup, vendor maintenance, and accurate disbursements via wire, ACH, and check to prevent fraudulent payments.
  • Evaluate and improve department controls, systems, procedures and workflow processes to increase accuracy and efficiency as well as streamline and automate current manually driven processes.
  • Work with upstream and downstream partners (including Purchasing, Asset Management, Tax, Finance, Profit Recovery, etc.) to create process improvement opportunities.
  • Own Key Performance Indicators of the Accounts Payable team used to evaluate performance and report to senior leadership.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to provide requested information.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in Accounts Payable, Procurement, or other Financial Operations.
  • 3+ years experience with financial budgeting and forecasting, or financial analysis
  • Experience of managing people


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across multiple ERPs, especially SAP and Oracle
  • Experience with Balance Sheet and/or Cash flow forecasting
  • Experience with ERP transformation projects


Education

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations, or related field; and or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
