Job Summary

The Sales Coordinator Intern will work closely with the Sales team to gain hands-on experience in sales operations, product coordination, and customer relationship management. This role is designed to provide exposure to various aspects of sales within a dynamic consumer goods company, preparing the intern for future roles in sales and business operations.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Sales Operations Support: 

  • Help maintain sales reporting dashboards to monitor performance metrics (e.g., revenue, volume, and profitability). 

  • Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Collaborate with Category Insights to analyze sales data and create actionable recommendations. 

 

  • Customer Relationship Management: 

  • Support account managers with scheduling and preparation for key account meetings. 

  • Assist in responding to inquiries from retailers, distributors, and other sales partners. 

  • Learn and use CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to manage customer data and track interactions. 

  • Administrative Tasks: 

  • Manage and update customer databases and internal sales records. 

  • Organize and maintain a calendar of trade shows, sales events, and key meetings. 

  • Support the execution of special projects as assigned by the Sales team. 

 

  • Sales Training and Development: 

  • Shadow Sales team members during client calls or account meetings to observe relationship-building strategies. 

  • Participate in internal training sessions on sales best practices, negotiation tactics, and industry trends. 

  • Gain exposure to pricing strategies, contract negotiation processes, and retailer compliance requirements. 

  • Key Projects 

  • Item Master 

  • Distribution Tracker 

  • Promotional Calendar by customer: including TPR activity 

  • Calendar of all upcoming 3rd party and partner commitments 

 

Education and Skill Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 

  • Eligible for the DOD SkillBridge Program 

  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. 

 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements 

This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment. 

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. 

  • Light to moderate lifting is required. 

  • Ability to uphold the stress of traveling. 

  • Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate. 

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic). 

  • Ability to work in a confined area. 

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
