We're looking for a talented AML Compliance Manager who will act as the regional team leader supporting the operations of the key AML/ATF Systems, i.e., watchlist name scanning system and transactions monitoring system. The key responsibilities involve application support, deployment, business requirement gathering and data analysis in support of solutions that conform to Manulife compliance standards. The individual should have a breadth and depth of experience that will allow her/him to devise and support solutions that integrate appropriately within the organization and its compliance application frameworks.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver initiatives on time, meeting project objectives and success criteria.

  • Foster collaboration among Business SMEs, decision makers, and various offices and partners to ensure swift project delivery.

  • Produce high-quality business requirements through collection, analysis, validation, and documentation of stakeholder needs.

  • Identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies, and evaluate cost-benefit tradeoffs to align with project goals.

  • Utilize process modeling and analysis skills for improvements, gap analysis, and root cause analysis.

  • Manage change effectively within projects to minimize impact on business requirements.

  • Assist business leads with defining priorities and advising on options for short and long-term needs.

  • Conduct coaching, support, and development of staff, including training needs analysis.

  • Identify opportunities and recommend process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Analysis (BA) or Project Management (PM), with knowledge of project management systems or leading successful projects.

  • Understanding of AML/ATF compliance, Sanctions Screening, and Transaction Monitoring.

  • Strong process mapping skills using BPMN.

  • A college or university degree and/or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services/insurance operations and products.

  • Familiarity with AML Risk Management tools and systems (e.g., Bridger, AML Manager).

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Skilled in stakeholder management and teamwork.

  • Ability to prioritize, assess urgency, and deliver business value.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and hands-on with systems.
