2026 Summer Internship | Legal Intern  

School Year: First- or Second-Year Law School Student 

Dates of the Internship: June 1st - August 7th (10 weeks) 

Format and Location: Chicago, IL  

This position will be in-person at Camping World’s offices in downtown Chicago with the option to work from home on an as-needed basis. 

 

About the role: 

Camping World is looking for interns for the summer 2026 internship season to work closely within the Legal department. As an intern, you will assist with research and writing projects supporting all functions of the legal team. We are looking for someone who is driven and wants to be fully immersed in a real-world experience. What You’ll Do: 

  • General:   

  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization regarding business operations 

  • Legal research and writing projects regarding various topics related to business operations 

  • Litigation:  Legal research, drafting memoranda, and creating 50-State Surveys for various issues concerning the Company’s litigation portfolio and participating in witness deposition preparation 

  • Commercial Transactions:  Assist with contract review and negotiation for a variety of agreement types, such as non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, technology transactions, and data protection agreements 

  • Labor and Employment:  Assist with the Legal department’s management of administrative charges and other employment litigation and support on wage and hour, benefits, and other employment compliance matters 

  • Marketing:  Assist with marketing compliance-related activities, including reviewing and drafting summaries of federal and state unfair and deceptive acts and practices laws and regulations as well as Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guidelines 

  • Dealership and Product Compliance:  Legal research and writing regarding various compliance-related topics related to dealership operations and other regulated product offerings  

  • Privacy:  Assist with privacy compliance-related activities, including reviewing and drafting summaries of state privacy laws and regulations 

  • Security:  Assist with information security-related legal matters, such as policy review and vendor risk assessments 

What You’ll Need to Have for the Role: 

  • A current first- or second-year law student (rising 2L or rising 3L) 

  • A graduation date between December 2025-July 2027. 

  • Ability to relocate to Chicago for the summer term (June 9-August 15). Camping World does not provide relocation or housing stipends. 

  • Participate in Capstone Internship Project including a final presentation to Executive Leadership. 

  • Interest in gaining experience across a variety of practice areas, including litigation, commercial transactions, labor and employment, marketing, compliance, privacy, and security 

  • Interest in learning how an in-house legal department provides advice and counsel to its business clients as a trusted business advisor 

  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor and strict confidentiality of company information  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

  • Must be diligent, organized, and extremely detail-oriented 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes 

  • Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 

General Compensation Disclosure

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.   At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.
