Job Purpose 

Due to a role vacancy at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), we are looking for a Vaccines Sales Representative to promote and deliver continued success in the Irish vaccines market. GSK is a world leading research-based pharmaceutical company that combines both individual talent and technical resources to create a platform for the delivery of strong growth in a rapidly changing healthcare market.  

 

Location: Field based worker covering Primary Care and Pharmacy Accounts in the North-East region of Ireland, including parts of Galway. 

 

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and resilient Sales Representative with a business owner mindset to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering sales and increasing the uptake of our key vaccines within their designated territory.

Key Responsibilities overview, not limited to the following,  

  • Drive sales and increase the administration rates of our vaccines in both Primary Care and at Pharmacy Level on the territory. 

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to reach and exceed sales targets. 

  • Establish, nurture, and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers. 

  • Provide accurate information about our vaccines, their uses, and benefits to customers. 

  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and customer response to our products, and provide feedback to the management team. 

  • Attend sales meetings, conferences, and sponsorship events to increase product knowledge and expand network. 

 

Why you? 

Basic Qualifications: 

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals,  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Science or related field. 

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in vaccines. 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 

  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics. 

  • Ability to travel as needed. 

  • Valid Driver’s licence  

 

Preferred qualifications, if you have any of the following would be a plus,  

  • Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook and familiarity with CRM software (Veeva) 

  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills required. 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify unique sales opportunities and to perform tasks beyond designated responsibilities. 

  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills. 

  • Committed to delivering high quality results, overcoming challenges, focusing on what matters, execution. 

  • Budgeting and cost-consciousness
