Safely and efficiently print or coat substrates in accordance to specifications and quality standards.

Monday-Thursday 3pm/1am (4 10's)

Operate lifting equipment, hoist, tilt-lock.
Shaft and un-shaft printing cylinders.
Responsible for printing and or coating products in conformance with specifications and
manufacturing instructions.
Responsible for neat and accurate production reports and job jackets to maintain traceability.
Maintain a clean and safe working area.
Complete housekeeping, hoist grounding & bonding inspections.
Ability to read and determine proper wind configurations per the rewind chart.
Able to mount & proof flexo printing plates at the right repeat and cylinders.
Able to mix inks to get proper print color.
Read printing specifications and check for accuracy.
Meet printing press efficiency and waste targets.
Keep the hazardous waste room clean and safe.

Participates as a team player who respectfully communicates, shares knowledge and cooperates with other team members.

Willingness to be flexible and work in other areas of the facility as needed.

Recommended Skills

Prior computer experience
Must understand and read basic instructions
Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
Ability to see fine detail.
Clear understanding of fine measuring tools (i.e. microscope and rulers).
Basic computer and Data 3 entry skills.
Effective oral communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Thorough understanding and compliance with bonding and grounding procedures.
Full working knowledge of flexographic press operation and ability to detect and
troubleshoot printing problems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of printing.
Ability to read layouts and drawings.
Experience assisting and running a printing press.
Prior experiences mixing inks and color-matching and the use of a spectrophotometer.
