We are seeking a skilled Technical Lead and Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team, working on innovative projects such as MedlinePlus, MedlinePlus Connect, and Discover Women’s Health Research (DiscoverWHR). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both backend and frontend technologies, with a particular focus on Python/Django, Angular, React.js, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the technical aspects of projects and leading a team of developers ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain web applications for MedlinePlus, MedlinePlus Connect, and DiscoverWHR.
  • Utilize Python/Django for backend development.
  • Implement frontend solutions using Angular and React.js.
  • Manage and interact with databases, specifically Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Leverage AWS services at a high level, understanding their offerings and applications.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to ensure seamless integration and maintenance of services.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our applications.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical processes, system architecture, and project specifications.


What You Will Need:

  • Minimum of EIGHT (8) of years experience
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Proficiency in Python/Django for backend development.
  • Experience with frontend JavaScript frameworks, particularly Angular and React.js.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and their applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Knowledge of NIH NLM MedlinePlus and MedlinePlus Connect is a plus.
  • Previous experience working on health-related projects or applications.
