Job Description

An amazing opportunity has arisen for an Oncology Sales Representative at our company in Portugal. This position is responsible for supporting our customer-centric business model, working with cross-functional teams and leveraging data to identify customer needs, create a leading customer experience, and deliver better health outcomes. You will join a motivated, empathetic, and inclusive team, united by the purpose of saving and improving lives through breakthrough oncology innovations.

Reporting to the relevant business unit leader, you will play a key role in accelerating what we can achieve for patients, healthcare professionals, and communities, contributing to a noble mission of extending and improving the lives of cancer patients.

This position will cover the south of Portugal.

What you will do:

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:

  • Perform with autonomy and responsibility in a competitive and constantly changing environment.
  • Use data and understand complex account interdependencies to develop and execute short- and long-term account plans as part of a team.
  • Prepare and study information concerning tumour types and products, maintaining up-to-date knowledge on early stage and palliative care, treatment options, dosing schedules, and clinical trials.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for selected customer accounts, meeting with key personnel to understand practice structure, business models, influencers, and customer needs, identifying business opportunities.
  • Engage in informed discussions about products with healthcare professionals, tailoring communications to individual customer needs.
  • Drive growth while maintaining a responsible and sustainable business, exceeding customer expectations through teamwork, negotiation, and innovation.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science.
  • Minimum of 1 year of commercial experience in Hospital Business.
  • Experience in different functions within the Pharma Industry and/or sales organizations.
  • Medium to high level of English proficiency.
  • Experience in Oncology (preferable).
  • Medical/pharmaceutical knowledge and postgraduate qualifications (preferable).
  • Experience in Women’s Cancers (preferable).
  • Impeccable ethical behavior and willingness to speak up.
  • Strong prioritization skills and results orientation.
  • Habit of continuous learning and self-development.
  • Analytical skills to preferable support informed decision-making.
  • Innovative mindset; ability to use digital, data and analytics in a hybrid business model.
