Job Summary

Acrisure is seeking a Renewals Specialist to join our growing SBMA team.

SBMA, a third-party administrator, is an affordable ACA-compliant benefits provider to thousands of employers. Their goal is to simplify the complexity of providing employee benefits. SBMA is different because of its personal service, speed of implementation, and innovative approach to benefits coverage.

The Renewals Specialist (RS) plays a crucial role in SBMA’s operations, ensuring that renewal business is accurately rated and processed efficiently and on time. The RS is responsible for the following tasks and services, contributing to the organization's overall success and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and rates renewing business to ensure profitability.
  • Prepares internal renewal documentation.
  • Processes ongoing amendments
  • Manages renewal timelines and prepares renewal materials for assigned accounts.
  • Responds to broker and group requests as needed.
  • Updates process-related training documents as necessary.
  • Identifies and suggests efficiencies and system improvements within the department.
  • May manage the renewals inbox, handle incoming requests, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Serves as the primary contact for renewal terms.
  • Orders benefit guides.
  • Completes close-outs for assigned groups.
  • Processes Amendments
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Ability to work independently.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in an Account Management or Underwriting role.

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $27 - $30. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
