In conjunction with the Realty Manager and Specialist, the Realty Advisor plays a key role on the Realty Services team focused on planning, execution and administrative responsibilities related to Enbridge’s North American real estate portfolio.
The successful candidate will be skilled in reviewing contracts, negotiating deals and implementing new innovative systems.

What You Will Do:
The Realty Advisor will hold key accountability for administrative lease compliance including payment process management and execution. The role will involve extensive communication with internal leadership as well as landlord and property management staff. This requires strong communication skills working in situations that at times require dispute resolution skills.
The role will also support ongoing efforts to manage the balance of contractual risk inherent in real estate contracts and strive to improve consistency and administrative efficiency.
These activities include but are not limited to the following key responsibilities:
Comprehensive oversight of lease lifecycle rights, inducements, obligations and expiry tracking
Administration of realty services, brokerage and lease administration support fees
Coordination of contract reviews by key internal stakeholders
Payments and receivables cycle administration and oversight
Contract Lease review and content standardization
Financial reporting & analysis related to realty related costs
Collaboration with external lease administration support
Activity co-ordination with external realty providers
Realty expert user support for real estate and related systems
Reconciliation and performance monitoring of additional rent charges
Management of electronic and hard copy records supporting transactional activity
Who you are:
The preferred candidate for this role will hold a degree or a diploma related to law, business or finance, though other educational paths will not be discounted when combined with relevant experience.
The candidate should have at least 4 years working in a field directly related to the commercial real estate industry and should have significant experience in contract review and transaction support requirements related to leasing as well as real property. Exposure and understanding of real estate industry practices in office and industrial asset classes would be well received.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize with an appreciation of urgency and deadlines
Superior capabilities related to business computer systems (ideally with realty applications)
Well developed understanding of accounting fundamentals for budget, planning and actuals
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work with little supervision and to seek help when needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills working with diverse levels internally and externally
A desire to progress into a more senior transaction management role
Working Conditions:
Normal office working conditions.
Stress levels can be above normal as the work is highly visible. Numerous, often challenging, interests must be handled concurrently while negotiating/influencing.
Office environment with some travel required to asset locations, customer sites and business conferences in Canada and the US.
Occasional need to put in extra hours to meet project deadlines.
