Flight Operations Engineer (Associate or Experienced)

The Boeing Company is seeking a Flight Operations Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join the Flight Crew Operations Manual (FCOM) team. The selected candidate will support with the Boeing Company Flight Operations Services in Seal Beach, California.

Position Overview:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes engineering data related to flight crew operations procedures, operations manuals, and checklists.
  • Designs and develops flight operations data and documents.
  • Evaluates detailed engineering information, drawings and supplier data, and integrates into engineering and operational data packages for flight crews.
  • Performs engineering research for customer specific requirements and resolution of customer problems.
  • Converts engineering data into the flight operations data used by flight crews.
  • Performs engineering research in support of customer specific requirements, problems, and concerns.
  • Evaluates customer digital data and publishing system’s needs.
  • Create tools and processes to gain efficiencies related to FCOM and QRH production

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Seal Beach, California location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):  

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering discipline

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years' of experience working around live aircraft and flight operations.
  • 2+ experience in support of aerospace products, which should include commercial or military airplane flight operations.
  • Understanding of the processes BCA uses to change airplane configuration (Service Bulletins, Rapid Revisions, Production Revision Records)
  • Experience with technical writing and authoring systems
  • Customer support experience.
  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Summary Pay Range:

  • Associate (Level 2): $90,950 - $123,050
  • Experienced (Level 3): $111,350 - $150,650
