Basic Function

Reporting to the Director, Data & Analytics, the Senior Manager, Data & Analytics will be responsible and accountable for leading sophisticated analytics and reporting and delivering actionable insights to help drive positive organizational and patient outcomes. You will play a key role in understanding and anticipating the needs of our business partners to develop data-driven solutions that generate value. The ideal candidate has extensive analytics experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and business sense. You have a passion for data and data-driven solutions, and you are excellent at sharing the story the data is telling.

What you will do:

  • Directly lead all advanced analytical activities to provide analysis driven insights with recommendations to improve processes and outcomes across the organization with focus on understanding and using connected data across our healthcare eco-system.
  • Lead the data requirement gathering for new initiatives and enhancements to existing solutions. The primary focus is on overall performance and efficiencies but could also include both program intelligence and real-world evidence initiatives stemming from our client partners.
  • Perform analyses across a wide range of data sources, including ways to leverage existing enterprise data and information, to deepen our understanding of our customers and sharpen our strategy.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization in the recommendation, development, and deployment of data solutions. A strong focus on automation and using technology to provide scalable and repeatable solutions will be required, along with demonstrating key findings to improve processes going forward.
  • Manage, lead, and mentor direct reports including regular coaching, performance reviews, and providing clear role expectations and project-specific guidance to achieve high standards of excellence.
  • Lead all aspects of workload and provides staff supervision to ensure that work is done accurately, efficiently, and maintains the integrity and overall business strategy. Also ensuring implementation aligns with policies, procedures, and standards as well as best working practices.
  • Ensure the team has the right tools, processes, and agile principles in place to deliver work that is timely and to specification.

What you will need:

  • Post-Secondary education equivalent to a university degree or equivalent in numerate or analytical field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years in analytics or a related analytical field, experience working with or in the pharmaceutical industry and/or patient support programs is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in analytical databases and extracting data from them using tools and languages like SQL.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in data preparation and data analysis. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau are a benefit.
  • Demonstrated ability to unite disparate, often complex sources of information and transform into actionable insights, tactics, and strategies.
  • Proven leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Shown collaboration ability by crafting positive relationships and effectively working across multiple groups, cross-functional teams, departments, and leadership both within and outside the organization.
  • Experience in designing and presenting analysis with insights to teams, using sophisticated storytelling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and data visualization with experience crafting clear, concise, and professional documents.
  • Strong understanding of business drivers – provides recommendations and highlights financial implications to the business when seeking agreement.
  • Able to clearly and concisely interpret and define value-generating business requirements.
  • Able to design effective solutions and outputs and be responsible for their development into production.
  • High level of initiative to prioritize work amid contending demands and take projects from the briefing phase to the delivery of final reports/presentations with minimal direction.
