The Receptionist is responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office setting to support daily operations. Their duties include being the point of contact for office needs, sorting and delivering mail to employees, and greeting visitors when they arrive for meetings with management or sales staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and direct all guests to appropriate person
  • Point of contact for office needs including, but not limited to, maintenance, mailing, shipping, and errands
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail/deliveries
  • Provide general support to all guests, employees, and leadership
  • Purchase office supplies and equipment and maintaining proper stock
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years office or administrative support experience
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Standard office environment, usually indoors away from the elements with moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

Maintain a stationary position for extended periods; move about the office, operate computers and files, as needed; and frequently communicate with others. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally, the employee is required to lift boxes up to 20 pounds. 

SCHEDULING

This is a part-time position; hours will fall within Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. If full time, it is a benefits-eligible position, working Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This is an in-office role.

TRAVEL

Local travel is required. Out of state travel is limited but may be required for special training, conferences, or company events
