About the Job
CoverMyMeds Government Systems team is looking for a Systems Administrator to join a multidisciplinary team responsible for maintaining the Systems, Network, and Regulatory Compliance in our environment.

Typical Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Systems Administration - Configuring, maintaining, and optimizing IT our server infrastructure including deployment, break/fix, maintenance, and retirement in the Windows Server environment. 
  • Technical Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. You will be responsible for investigating and addressing system failures and performance bottlenecks.
  • Project Team – Contribute to IT projects that involve system upgrades, migrations, and/or the implementation of new technologies.
  • Documentation – Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT Systems, configurations and procedures to ensure consistency and assist in troubleshooting.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity – Understand the process and procedures to ensure data recovery and business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
  • Collaboration – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise to align technology solutions with business needs.
  • Compliance – Ensure that IT Systems and practices comply with CMS ARS standards, regulations, as well as company policies, especially in areas related to data security and privacy.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience/skills in any of the following areas:

  • Subject Matter Expert with Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Managing and Maintaining Physical and Virtual Servers
  • Exposure to VMware and Vmware tooling such as vROps. 
  • Patch Management / Patch Management Tools in Windows Server environment.
  • Monitoring / Observability / Reporting
  • Strong Technical Documentation Skills
  • Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills
  • Experience in an On-Call Rotation

Additionally, the ideal candidate profile would include:

  • Comfort working in highly regulated environments.
  • Understanding of operational Service Level Agreements, Service Level Objectives, Service Level Indicators, and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and project management systems as work will be recorded in those spaces.
  • Varied technical skillset with basic knowledge of MSSQL server, SAN/NAS, networking concepts, FTP, DNS, Active Directory, LDAP, FIM, IAM, and IPA. 
  • Experience with GRC and standards such as NIST-800-53, CIS Benchmark, and FIPS-140.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, using active listening skills, verbal and written techniques, and technology.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement concepts and tools.
  • Ability to write scripts to automate tasks
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to work remotely during standard EST/EDT business hours.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Batchelor's Degree + 2 Years Experience or 6 Years Relevant Experience

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$82,500 - $137,500
