Job Description:
A Brokerage Clerk provides administrative and operational support to a brokerage firm by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting brokers and clients with account-related inquiries. This role ensures trades are executed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Process and record securities transactions, including trades, transfers, and settlements
Maintain accurate client account records and update databases and filing systems
Prepare and review trade confirmations, statements, and related documentation
Assist brokers with daily administrative tasks and transaction support
Communicate with clients regarding account information, documentation, and routine inquiries
Monitor transaction details to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
Coordinate with clearing firms, banks, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
Handle confidential financial information with discretion and accuracy
High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred)
Basic understanding of financial markets and investment products
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial recordkeeping systems
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
Prior experience in a brokerage, banking, or financial services environment
Familiarity with securities regulations and compliance requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
