As a Global Procurement team member, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic projects and/or programs. You will work with key internal stakeholders to build trusted partnerships while analyzing data to realize distinct and measurable benefits for the organizations. Your primary goal is to realize Indirect program and project objectives, which require the advanced application of project and process management concepts. This includes planning, organizing, staffing, leading, executing, and controlling activities to deliver expected value. Indirect Procurement also often leads Organization or company-wide welfare initiatives. The candidate may also be required to manage and execute these company-wide initiatives and will require candidate to be resourceful and be able to build global connections to rollout the initiatives smoothly.

The candidate will also have to manage and execute any other projects and initiatives that may arise from the other Global Category and Regional Site Operation teams.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

Project and Program Management

  • Support complex, global and regional process transformation supporting Global Procurement.
  • Participate in cross-organizational teams to define, build, and implement business process solutions that increase efficiencies, improve standardization, and optimize procurement services.
  • Regularly report out on project status, manage risks, and implement solutions to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Implement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure alignment of program metrics with related programs inside the organization, as well as with those of stakeholder organizations.
  • Foster BKM sharing culture and innovatory thinking to achieve success.

Execute, Monitor/Control, and Close Programs

  • Serve as a Project Manager or individual contributor for organizational initiatives.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Use available systems and guidelines to control and track projects.
  • Provide the Indirect Leadership team and other stakeholders with updates on the progress and status of assigned program.
  • Work with project teams to ensure the project status is accurate and up to date.

Maintain Program Health

  • Define and evolve the practices used to make changes to active projects.
  • Communicate program expectations to team members and stakeholder.

Improve Program Management Business Processes and Tools

  • Develop and evolve reporting requirements and solutions that meet the needs of the program and project audience in a manner that clearly communicate critical aspects of the project or program.
  • Apply experiences and lessons from system to refine and improve methods.
  • Determine and evolve how performance will be calculated and tracked for active projects and programs.

Provide Business, Data Analysis, Executive Presentation Support

  • Create and manage Procurement data and reporting environment.
  • Develop and manage organizational processes and information systems.
  • Assist with creation of executive level slides for program, strategic and BKM presentations.

Stakeholder Engagement, Business Partnering and Leading Through Influence

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strategic solutions.
  • Grow to become a subject matter expert in your assigned responsibilities.
  • Drive customer-centric approach to solving issues and represent Procurement.
  • Exercise judgment and adapt accordingly to persuade others to adopt the change required for a successful implementation of the program.
  • Lead adoption with organizational change management methods and tools and capture program return of investment.
  • Develop positive relationships with stakeholders to enable a competitive advantage, achieving program objectives and successful implementation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.
    • Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Good communicator and adapts communication style to educate, influence or negotiate.
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.

  • Preferred:
    • Proficient in Microsoft applications and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc).
    • Experience working with a large, global company.
    • Proven experience in program/project management.
    • Ability to work with small, big, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
    • Ability to translate analysis requirements into data requirements.
    • Flair in streamlining processes, eliminating steps, and flowcharting.
    • Certifications (PMP, Agile, Lean Six-Sigma) and Knowledgeable of procurement processes and systems (e.g., Ariba, SAP, source-to-pay processes) is a plus.
