As a Procurement Greenhouse Gas Analyst at Micron Technology, a company that has a world class sustainability program, this is an excellent opportunity to become a subject matter expert in the semiconductor supply chain, an industry with high growth and an opportunity to for you to have a significant role in the global effort to reduce emissions.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics, insights and benchmarking
Maintain and analyze databases containing Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions in the Micron supply chain on a supplier or product level.
Analyze carbon footprint and lifecycle analysis data associated with sourcing decisions.
Build reports and dashboards for data visualization.
Make recommendations regarding data structure.
Ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Evaluate data and information to identify greenhouse gas reduction opportunities.
Collect and use supplier supplied greenhouse gas data, and provide guidance for interpretation.
Business Partnering
Drive positive relationships and communicate effectively with collaborators to achieve sustainability objectives.
Actively engage with procurement leadership and cross-functional business clients, working together to design and implement plans into tangible results.
Requirements
Proficient in greenhouse analysis, inventory tools, and associated databases such as ecoinvent, GHG protocol IPCC Emission factor database, CDP supply chain, etc
5-10 years of experience is required.
Deep knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting standard
Proficient in life cycle analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability Development, Sustainability, or Engineering from an accredited college/university
Proficient in O365, Sharepoint, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Financial and/or other analytics software, SQL and VBA proficiency preferred
Proven experience working effectively in a matrixed, global organization
Highly skilled in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and high comfort in working with numbers.
Demonstrate strong communication in a structured, clear and influential way, with Stakeholders and Senior Leaders/Executives
Having a global perspective and a positive attitude that is well-suited for working across different regions.
Having an interest in sustainability data, and data fluency, using insights to make a data-driven decision.
Agile in adopting new tools and ways of working towards continuous improvement to better business outcomes.
Collaborating with an inclusive approach across geographical and organizational cultures to achieve mutual success for Micron.
Self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
