Responsibilities and time allocation
This position is full-time based on 40 hours/week.
60% Financial Planning & Advice Preparation
Prepare preliminary financial planning recommendations and initial product solutions for advisor to review and utilize in client meetings.
Prepare presentations, charts, tables, and other visual aids to be used in meetings with clients.
Develop robust portfolio/product solution recommendations that will fit the client’s risk tolerance and time frame as well as develop appropriate product deliverables
Run illustrations and hypotheticals
Conduct transactions on behalf of clients and as directed by financial advisor(s) and associate financial advisor(s)
Work with home office to ensure accurate account setup and resolve issues
30% Client Support
Maintain client contact during the financial planning process. Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients – if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accounts.
Review and update client information as needed for client review meetings.
Manage and resolve client service problems.
Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisor(s).
10% Business management
Participate proactively in business goal setting and results review meetings to help drive execution of business strategy.
Lead projects as identified to further attainment of strategic priorities and results for the Practice.
Actively assess and pursue opportunities for improvement, efficiency or workload management for yourself and the team, in line with long-term Practice goals.
Commitment to and demonstration of Practice core values: Respect, Trust, Positivity & Clarity.
Accuracy and diligence in completing assignments – high attention to detail with solution-orientation.
Strong organizational, and time management skills.
Polite and effective communication style with clients and staff members.
Ability to connect tasks to outcomes, purpose, and bigger picture thinking.
Internally motivated and comfortable with autonomy.
Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement of self, processes and Practice as a whole.
Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor and Ameriprise.
College degree or higher
2+ years of similar experience. Experience within Ameriprise Financial a highly preferred advantage.
Federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident and health insurance licenses.

Base salary range: $75,000 - $90,000/yr based on experience and skills.
