Salary: $95k-$115k

The Senior Operations Data Analyst is the primary strategic analytics partner for field operations and site performance. This role drives operational and sales insights, identifies performance gaps, and builds dashboards and analytical frameworks that empower Operations leadership to manage a high-performing, scalable business.

This is not just a reporting role — it is an embedded operations consultant who understands sales performance, membership behavior, throughput mechanics, labor, equipment performance, and operational cost structures. The Senior Analyst explains why KPIs move, identifies the root causes, and provides clear, actionable recommendations that improve sales, labor efficiency, throughput, uptime, plan mix quality, and overall site profitability. This role also leads monthly operational KPI reviews, delivering narrative analysis of trends, risks, and opportunities for Operations leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Operational KPI Ownership & Sales Analysis

  • Build and maintain dashboards for key sales and operational KPIs.
  • Conduct deep-dive sales trend analysis to identify drivers of increases, decreases, or anomalies.
  • Own and lead a monthly KPI review meeting, presenting sales and operational insights, explaining why changes occur.
  • Analyze operations across sites and regions to identify opportunities, inefficiencies, and profitability risks.
  • Provide field training so operators understand and can act on Power BI dashboards.

Root Cause & Performance Improvement

  • Perform root-cause analysis on variations in sales, member activity, product mix, labor efficiency, throughput, and equipment reliability.
  • Identify operational anomalies, including discount misuse, site gaming, or fraud-related patterns.
  • Provide tactical, actionable recommendations to:
    • Improve revenue performance
    • Optimize labor deployment
    • Increase throughput and efficiency
    • Reduce downtime and operational costs
  • Collaborate with field and corporate operations teams to validate insights and support execution of improvements.

Operational Reporting, Dashboards & Data Quality

  • Build and refine:
    • Store-level dashboards
    • Executive sales dashboards
    • Operational sales + membership trend dashboards
    • Regional performance summaries
  • Ensure operational data is accurate, consistent, and structured for scalable enterprise use.
  • Automate recurring reports to reduce manual workloads across operations.
  • Conduct detailed data auditing, validation, and reconciliation to ensure absolute accuracy.

Key Skills

  • Strong SQL and Power BI capability with an emphasis on sales and operations analytics.
  • Experience with additional languages (Python, R, JSON handling) is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of operational KPIs including sales, membership trends, churn, signup ratios, plan mix, avg ticket, throughput, labor efficiency, equipment uptime, and volume.
  • Strong ability to interpret and explain sales and membership trends, identifying the true “why” behind KPI movement.
  • Ability to audit and validate data from multiple operational systems.
  • Experience identifying anomalies or suspicious patterns in operational and sales data.
  • Excellent communication skills for both field operators and executive audiences — able to produce clear, narrative explanations of performance trends.
  • Innovative thinker who identifies new ways to improve sales, operational ROI, and site profitability.
  • Strong business acumen related to multi-site, high-volume service operations.
