Freese and Nichols is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager to join our Master Planning team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will manage and lead technical tasks, develop scope/fee and support business development activities, including proposal development. Responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Leading a project team for municipal water and wastewater studies, including master plans, water distribution and sewer collection system hydraulic evaluations, water quality in distribution systems and asset management.

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams while working with utilities to solve complex issues and develop capital improvement plans. 

  • Must have polished professional communication, both technical writing and verbal presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • 8+ years of related experience in the water/wastewater engineering industry

  • North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to become licensed in NC within 6 months.

Preferred:

  • Expereince with hydraulic modeling software, such as Innovyze products (InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSewer, InfoSWMM, InfoAsset Planner) or Bentley products (SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS)

  • Knowledge of GIS applications in water and wastewater planning

  • North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to become licensed in NC within 6 months.
