We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement AFRICOM’s mission objectives.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Active Directory Administrator.   This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US AFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany.  This position is required to travel OCONUS. 
  • As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. You will be directly responsible for the effective and efficient operation and interconnectivity of a Department of Defense Network and will execute the actions required to correct deficiencies or shortcomings and to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • The SE will be responsible for activities that span across multiple disciplines and platforms. Perform engineering functions found in the service design domain and provide escalated support to incident management. Support engineering efforts to design, build, test, integrate, transition, implement, document, and train when transitioned to IT Operations Management.
  • More specifically, this position requires an Active Directory SME who is primarily focused on the continued design and maintenance activities within an Active Directory enterprise. This includes:  design, test, and implement Group Policy Objects for dedicated and shared resources; design and maintain the Domain OU structure; establish and decommission new Sites, and ensure optimized replication; establish Trusts with Mission Partners; configure DFS; ensure operability and integration with 3rd party products; control other integrated features (DNS, DHCP, etc.).  They should expect to help create and maintain systems and user logon/logoff scripts, primarily using PowerShell.
  • They will provide senior level knowledge and Tier 3 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 3 infrastructure, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support that builds, configures, and administers several hundred servers in their area of operation. Additionally, they will provide mentorship to less senior engineers and administrators.
  • The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.  The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. 


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance and be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI.
  • BA/BS +5 years recent specialized experience
  • Active Directory Experience is a must. A high degree of engineering background experience in Microsoft Active Directory Design and Domain Name Services (DNS)
  • Professional certification that meets or exceeds DoD 8570 IAT III (CASP or equivalent)
  • Server Operating Systems Cert(MCSE, Azure Administrator Associate, AZ-800/801 etc)
  • Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files
  • Professional and responsible system administration of Microsoft platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering work with demonstrated increased responsibility
  • Experience integrating, testing, and deploying new systems and software following System Engineering principles
  • Effective communications throughout all levels of operational command
  • Ability to document system process and architecture
  • Tesa Eligibility

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • ITIL v3 – Foundation
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
  • Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
  • Documentation experience using Microsoft Visio or similar products.
  • Experience with DoD IT security requirements

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
