Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for assembling and sub-assembling metal parts to produce La-Z-Boy’s chairs and sofas. Operators will receive, unload, sort, stock and prepare mechanisms for production.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned): • Assemble metal parts according to La-Z-Boys quality requirements. • Stock parts timely. • Operate a riveting machine or screw gun. • Identify/troubleshoot quality issues. • Rework non-conforming parts as necessary. • Inspect work visually for defects according to our quality standards. • Complete ticket process in system accurately. • Operate equipment in a safe, accurate and efficient manner. • Control quality and waste. • Demonstrate teamwork and motivation for job requirements. • Follow health and safety standards. • Maintain a clean work area. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties. • Basic reading and writing skills. • Basic computer skills • Good manual dexterity. • Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds. • Achieve performance standards. • Excellent attendance; 3 points or less.
