Within our Private Investment Portfolios & Co-Investment business, we manage both commingled and custom investment vehicles (or “Funds”), which are diversified across fund investments (primary and secondary basis) and direct investments.  Each Fund has one or more Principal or Managing Director professional(s) on the investment team, who serve as the “Program Manager(s)” and are responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the fund.

The Product Management function supports the Program Manager(s) in aspects of the Funds’ day-to-day activities, including the coordination of the investment execution process investment monitoring, cash management (as applicable) as well as internal and external communications via scheduled and/or reports, meetings and calls. This role will have a particular focus on NB’s Funds that are evergreen in nature, have ongoing subscription/withdrawal features, and include more liquid strategies. This role will entail both wealth management focused funds as well as institutional focused funds.

Responsibilities covered by this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Support of Program Managers in all aspects of the Funds’ management

  • Coordination among all NB internal constituencies of the Fund, including the Private Markets Investment Team, Legal, Finance, Reporting, Operations, Investor Communications and Client Services and non-private markets Investment Teams (i.e. fixed income and multi-asset class teams)

  • Investment Tracking

    • Support Program Managers in portfolio construction, monitoring and forecasting activities

    • Tracking and forecasting of private markets portfolio (to determine capital needs and availability for new investments and/or distributions)

    • Coordination of investment process for the Fund, including portfolio fit, client / board approvals as needed, other

    • Review and assisting with ad hoc, quarterly and annual reporting, investor / board communications, annual and other ad hoc meetings

  • Capital Management

    • Tacking of inflows & outflows (subscriptions, withdrawals, dividends, etc.)

    • Tracking of investment realizations vs. new investment activity

    • Credit facility management (as applicable)

Experience & Skills Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in economics, business, finance, or similar

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience (i.e., finance, accounting, operations, investment banking, private equity)

  • Excellent academic credentials

  • Resourcefulness, ability to multi-task, team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects and manage them effectively

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Remarkable attention to detail

  • Strong judgment, maturity and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication, and ability to articulate and present ideas effectively both orally and in written form

  • Initiative and creativity in approach to problem solving and to be resourceful

  • Exhibits strong dedication to the job and takes ownership of deliverables

  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn fast

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $115,000-$135,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
