Job Description – Technical Lead – Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2B)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud to lead complex business-to-business eCommerce platforms. You will drive the implementation of account hierarchies, quote-to-order processes, contract pricing, and seamless ERP/CRM integrations while mentoring the team to deliver scalable, workflow-driven solutions for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead technical design, development, and delivery of Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud solutions, including account management, contracts, quotes, orders, and approval workflows.

· Architect and customize B2B storefronts using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Communities, checkout flows, and staged rollouts.

· Develop and maintain complex backend logic using Apex Classes, Triggers, Flows, Batch jobs, and schedulers.

· Design and implement account hierarchies, custom pricing, catalogs, punchout catalogs, and negotiated pricing models.

· Build robust integrations with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), Salesforce CRM, OMS, and external APIs.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams; perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices.

· Manage multi-market, multi-currency, and multi-language rollouts with high scalability and security.

· Own CI/CD pipelines, release management, environment strategy, and technical debt reduction.

· Troubleshoot escalated incidents and proactively identify risks in complex B2B environments.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain) to align technical solutions with business processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· 7–10 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce platform with strong focus on B2B Commerce Cloud.

· 3+ years in a Technical Lead role managing development teams.

· Proven track record of delivering B2B eCommerce implementations with ERP integrations and complex workflows.

· Mandatory Certifications: Salesforce Certified B2B Commerce Developer (or equivalent) + Platform Developer I/II.

· Preferred: Salesforce B2B Commerce Architect / Solution Architect credentials.

Technical Skills

· Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Salesforce Communities.

· Deep knowledge of B2B-specific features: account hierarchies, contracts, quotes, order management, and approval processes.

· Experience with ERP integrations, SOQL, data modeling, and API-driven commerce.

· Proficiency in Git, CI/CD tools, and code quality standards (SonarQube).

· Understanding of multi-currency, multi-language, and staged rollout strategies.

Preferred Skills

· Prior experience with CloudCraze (legacy B2B) migration or modern LWR templates.

· Exposure to Agentforce Commerce or AI-driven B2B features.

· Background in manufacturing, wholesale, or enterprise distribution sectors.

Soft Skills

· Team mentoring abilities.

· Excellent stakeholder management and communication (technical + business).

· Analytical mindset with ability to handle complex, long-cycle B2B projects.
