Position Purpose
The colleague in this role will be the senior business colleague responsible for IM/HOS/AV P&L in Japan. The primary responsibility of the colleague in this position is to lead a team of Commercial colleagues including marketing and SME customer facing teams and excluding Sales for IM/ HOS/AV products. IM/HOS/AV lead will work closely with One Pfizer Sales Platform team to achieve commercial outcome of respective business. IM/HOS/AV Lead also has to drive a cross functional team of Medical, A&V, P&PA and others to deliver the IM/HOS/AV revenue and IBT targets in country.
The colleague in the role will be responsible for developing an annual and multi year operating plan and contributing to the broader IM/HOS/AV strategy. The IM/HOS/AV Lead will represent the IM/HOS/AV business at the country leadership level and in the appropriate in-country collaboration forums. In addition, IM/HOS/AV Lead will lead Business Development Team and Commercial Portfolio Marketing Team, too. The colleague should conduct all activities and makes decisions that are in accordance with Company policies and SOPs, Pfizer Values, and global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), environment guidelines, as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities Include:
P&L Accountability
Operational and Financial Performance
- Optimize the performance of the in-country portfolio of the Internal Medicine/Hospital/Antiviral Group, and manage daily operations of the business
- Maximize revenue and IBT performance through rigorous management of the P&L and in alignment with goals.
- Manage expenses and investments according to plan goals.
- Monitor performance of the business and implement course-correcting actions in agreement with the International and global management team
- Work with above country Internal Medicine, Hospital and Antiviral teams to provide strategic / brand / operating plans.
- Ensure launch readiness for new products/indications through development of launch strategy and market preparedness
- Drive execution of customer strategies and tactics, collaborating closely with One Pfizer Sales Platform teams.
- Approach business with a One Pfizer mindset to optimize results for Pfizer
Lifecycle Management
Managing a portfolio with different product lifecycle stages
- Develop and execute innovative business strategies/models to maximize revenue, market share, and income growth.
- Maximize lifecycle product performance through excellence in aligned and innovative planning and execution.
- Manage long-listed-product portfolio in Commercial Portfolio efficiently and effectively including close collaboration with supply team for risk management
Commercial Excellence
Setting a strategy to continue to evolve the go to market/business model
- Build strong external partnership and collaboration to maximize the commercial value of the co-promotion products
- Work closely and collaboratively with CE Platform Lead to achieve Collective Advantage for Sales activities
- Invest and leverage the base business to ensure sustainable contribution to Pfizer Inc.
- Identify and exploit market specific opportunities to grow revenue and income.
- Evaluate, develop and execute new go to market strategies
- Create and/or develop new/existing business through promoting analytics, omnichannel approach and finding external partnership opportunities.
- Enhance and bring further growth and benefit to Pfizer by business development activities

- Develop and lead integrated cross functional customer facing teams appropriate to the market needs

- Shape the external environment for IM/HOS/AV pipeline

- Enhance and accelerate Pfizer’s new and existing business through partnership with other companies

Desired Skill Set

- University Degree
- Proven success in leading the marketing or management of a multi-brand portfolio
- Demonstrated ability to partner across functions and with global marketing teams
- P&L management
- Prior experience with Internal Medicine, Hospital and/or Antiviral is preferred but not essential
- Broad knowledge and experience of the relevant healthcare and pharmaceutical environment
