The Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)and Strategy Generalist will join Walmart Connect’s (WMC) in-house Strategy team to help define WMC’s long-term business unit strategy and to accelerate certain opportunities through M&A deal execution and post-close integration management. The WMC Strategy team is envisioning the future of WMC and its important role within Walmart; reports to the Director, Business Development.

This role is onsite only in out of our Hoboken, NJ office.

 What You'll Do:

  • Evaluate new strategies and opportunities for WMC
  • Size market potential and evaluate competitors
  • Create actionable recommendations for WMC leadership and Walmart executives
  • Identify possible M&A or strategic partnerships
  • Conduct competitive landscaping and capability benchmarking
  • Assist in end-to-end M&A and partnership process evaluation and execution
  • Coordinate research and diligence
  • Develop driver-led financial modeling and leadership narratives
  • Handle internal and external communications - Support post-acquisition integration management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and build consensus

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 2 years’ experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area.
  • 2 or more years of experience in investment banking, consulting, and/or corporate strategy with a focus on M&A deal evaluation in technology, retail, media or advertising.
  • Above-average financial modeling skills
  • Experience in research, data collection and analysis to support strategies
  • Comfortable presenting to and influencing executive level business and partners, as well as other partners
  • Experience in conceptualizing new ideas or innovation
  • Manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
