The Software Asset Management (SAM) Solutions and Automation Engineer supports and assists with the infrastructure and technical processes that will facilitate and enable software compliance status reporting for all 3rd party software products used in Adobe.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop automated business solutions using integration/automation tools to facilitate software license provisioning, usage, harvesting, and reporting.
• Build integrations to SAM tools for diverse software applications to collect usage data and enable automated license provisioning.
• Develop and implement automated monitoring processes and operational procedures for the SAM architecture.
• Monitor daily jobs and processes to confirm that the SAM tools are operating as intended.
• Ensure alignment with IT standards and requirements while developing and implementing innovative SAM solutions.
• Investigate and analyze SAM tools and processes to enable technology improvements, upgrades, and modifications.
• Establish protocols to verify the availability and accuracy of software and device installation data.
• Devise reconciliation processes for server/computer inventory to ensure efficient device coverage across the enterprise.
• Proactively identify technical gaps in existing services and explore solution options within the broader IT organization.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in building RPA solutions using UiPath or other automation tools.
• Proficiency in SQL and basic Microsoft SQL Database Administration.
• Understanding of SOAP, REST, and GraphQL APIs.
• Basic knowledge of integrating two different systems.
• Programming skills in Python, Power-shell, JavaScript, etc.
• Ability to develop, code, and implement projects, continuously enhancing systems and operations.
• High-level knowledge of Discovery/Inventory tools.
• In-depth understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Fundamental grasp of Software Asset Management (SAM).
• Proficiency in standard applications such as MS Outlook, Excel, JIRA, Splunk queries, Slack, and MS Teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Reporting skills in PowerBI/Tableau.
• Experience coordinating SAM tools like USU SmartTrack.
• Fundamental knowledge of the Zylo SaaS management platform.
• Understanding of Vendor Management processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business – Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
