What are we looking for?

The Threat Services organization seeks an experienced Software Engineer to join our WatchTower Engineering team. As our ideal new colleague you should have a strong background in both back-end and low-level programming and a passion for creating robust, scalable, and efficient applications.
This team is responsible for building software tools for threat hunters and their integrations with other SentinelOne services. This role is a rare opportunity to join an experienced engineering team and contribute to team culture, architecture, design, and delivery of new systems.

What will you do? 

  • Lead and contribute to creating new tools and services, as well as improving existing solutions
  • You will help us build the next-generation threat-hunting tools using modern technologies such as Python (FastAPI, Celery), Redis, Docker, Kubernetes and Rust
  • Design for scalability, security, and reliability across a global environment
  • You will help identify areas for proactive improvement based on team findings
  • You will be involved in the whole SW development process - from product discovery, through designing architecture, implementation and testing to delivery to production and subsequent monitoring

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

  • Proven experience as a Python Engineer, especially in writing performant and scalable FastAPI applications, bonus points for proficiency in Celery
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
  • Understanding user requirements and leading the solution delivery, along with attention to details
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

It’d be great if you have experience with / or You’d learn & gain on our team:

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD
  • Communication and organization in distributed teams
  • Experience with Rust, especially building statically linked native cross-platform CLI tools
  • Familiar with security products and frameworks, especially YARA and Sigma rules
