CommBank’s Business Banking Operations (BBO) function is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our Discharges Operations team. BBO more broadly is responsible for the fulfilment, settlement and servicing of Commercial Lending products Including Business Lending, Merchant Facilities, Bank Guarantees, CommBiz and Audit Certificates for CBA.
We support our Business Banking colleagues and all other segments in delivering exceptional service to a wide range of customers including small businesses, franchises and large-scale corporate customers. We have around 350+ passionate colleagues based across Australia and we work closely together to ensure the same exceptional and consistent level of service is provided to all of our customers.
The permanent role will be based in Sydney, VIC, WA.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Specialist to join our Commercial Loan Discharges team. We are a fast paced, deadline driven team that manages a high volume of discharge requests daily on behalf of our business customers.
You will be responsible for processing a high volume of discharge requests, meeting our operational objectives and deadlines, whilst maintaining strong customer communication.
Other responsibilities include:
Commercial banking is desired
Providing superior levels of internal and external customer service by responding to and managing customer and stakeholder enquiries, complaints and issues
Identifying opportunities to improve the processes within your team or work area
Undertaking investigations in respect to customer requests and/or as a result of transactional or exception based issues
Contributing to and/or completing reconciliations
Completing general administrative duties as required
Practising prudent risk management by identifying and responding to business risks

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have the below experience as well as an interest in building their career within Commercial lending.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the home lending/commercial lending process
Strong customer service experience with the ability to build relationships with relevant stakeholders
An adaptable and quick learner who is able to keep up with the varying complexities of our processes and procedures.
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong work ethic with a team orientated outlook
