People.AI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer, Front-end directly reporting to Software Engineering Manager. You'll be responsible of being a technical subject matter expert, mentor, and industry leader for creating highly performant, scalable, and user-friendly web and mobile applications that exceed customer and business needs. 

 

What you’ll do  

This is a vital role with significant growth prospect. You will have work to do from day one and you will be counted on to create opportunities that align with the overall organization goals. Some of this role key responsibilities are but not limited to:  

  • Lead, own, and/or support the development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications using React Native (mobile) and React (web). 

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver software products that meet business goals and user needs 

  • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers in best practices, design patterns, and development methodologies 

  • Providing technical guidance and expertise to ensure the highest level of quality and performance in our front-end applications 

  • Enhancing usage, metrics, and logging details 

  • Support CI/CD effort, configuration, and enhancements  

  • Support in release, deployment activities, and production support rotation  

  • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of front-end development and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement 

 

What you’ll bring  

Some of the skills needed for this role are but not limited to   

  • Expert-level knowledge of React, React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js. 

  • Experience in writing effective test cases and test automation  

  • Demonstrated experience in transforming ideas into fully implemented solutions 

  • Experience releasing mobile solutions to App Store and Google play store, and web solutions to production.  

  • Deep understanding, and hands on experience of debugging issues in mobile and web applications  

  • Experience with data storage and data retrieval  

  • Experience with authorization and authentication frameworks in implementing those into mobile and web applications  

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize application performance 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

  • A good understanding of and experience integrating with Generative AI
