The investor relations consultant supports the execution of investor relations programs, to build effective relationships with the investment community and other stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform Investor Relations functions to promote effective investor relations strategy following industry best practices.
  • Monitor investor feedback, sell-side research, financial metrics and industry trends to analyze the company’s investment community perception as compared to internal forecast and strategic messaging.
  • Conduct financial analyses and reporting to the Investor Relations team and management.
  • Lead market research and competitive analysis, to deliver market intelligence and insights on economic and regulatory developments.
  • Support communication of the organization's strategy, financial results and performance reports to current and potential investors and research analysts.

What You Have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or other similar fields
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Confidentiality: Knowledge of practices and policies governing disclosure of information about the organization, its business activities, and employees; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors and presence.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with internal functions and external analysts and investors.
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Knowledge of financial statements; ability to analyze financial statement data and determine the credit-worthiness of a business
  • Research Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Prior investor relations or relevant industry experience
  • 1-3 years of previous finance or accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and communication skills including writing
  • Microsoft Excel expertise; FactSet or Capital IQ proficiency is a plus
  • Understanding of the NYSE, disclosure rules and the U.S. investment community and investment selection process

Additional Info:

  • This position will be located in our Irving, TX office
  • This role requires 5 days a week in office
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
