Radiance is seeking a highly qualified and motivated engineer to conduct research and development in the field of Radio Frequency (RF) Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT) and to support intelligence production and production process improvement. The individual will support advanced remote sensing exploitation functions through detailed technical data analysis and through the development and improvement of algorithms, techniques, and procedures for the Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) of remotely sensed RF data. Technology transition and process improvement support is typically achieved through software or algorithm improvements developed in collaboration with Radiance Technologies’ software development staff. The position requires working collaboratively with other engineers, scientists, developers, and analysts to provide end-to-end solutions to complex exploitation issues.

Job Duties:

  • Research RF phenomenologies, sensor responses, and algorithms to extend and refine RF MASINT capabilities

  • Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams performing exploitation and process development

  • Analyze and develop processes to support the exploitation of unique, anomalous, and difficult datasets utilizing engineering principles and a physics-based analytical approach

  • Investigate, prototype, verify, validate, and document identified research topics

  • Perform algorithm development for complex data exploitation processes

  • Develop and document changes to existing tools supporting production elements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Remote Sensing, or another relevant technical field)

  • Understanding of signal processing techniques for solving new problems

  • Ability to code/script in Python, C/C++, or MATLAB

  • Active Secret clearance

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in STEM field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Remote Sensing, or another relevant technical field)

  • Ability to develop processing chains that combine multiple programs and algorithms into efficient automation schemes

  • Experience in algorithm and tool development, including geolocation tools

  • Current TS/SCI clearance
