About the Role

Reporting to  a Regional Sales Director, Americas, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) contributes to the success of the team as both an individual contributor and line manager. The role is a multi-faceted position with specific territory sales responsibilities (account management / new-business prospecting for designated accounts) and the management of salespeople.

The RSM is responsible for the development of a sales strategy and execution within their own discrete portfolio while coaching and managing named regional employees towards team attainment targets. A successful RSM will have strong sales acumen, leadership qualities, account planning, pipeline and forecast management skills 

Responsibilities:

  • Team/line management

  • Account management / new-business prospecting in a defined territory

  • Drive revenue to achieve  sales targets

  • Collaborative approach to working across the Dow Jones organization (e.g. product, specialists, marketing, commercial policy, legal)

  • Conduct regular team meetings, including pipeline reviews with salespeople.

  • Coach & support team members towards their goals. 

Skills & Experience:

  • Leadership skills

  • Proven success in sales

  • Strong organizational and account planning skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral & written with the ability to convey ideas succinctly to all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to build rapport, trust and empathy.

  • 7+ years experience in a B2B sales environment

  • Knowledge of the business information and compliance industries is advantageous

  • Highly proficient using Google Workspace (g-suite), Salesforce and MS applications.

Pay Range: $145,000 - $175,000
