What You Will Do:

  • Coordinating with partners, both internal and external, to ensure contracts that are developed adhere to all established Company contracting policies and procedures;

  • Working with partners regarding contracting strategies and analyzing scopes of work to determine contracting strategy;

  • Identifying potential suppliers and qualification criteria and preparing RFx (request for proposal, request for quote, etc.) packages;

  • Coordinating proposal evaluation activities, including completing commercial evaluations and negotiating with suppliers;

  • Preparing award recommendations and awarding contracts;

  • Facilitating pre-proposal, proposal clarification and contract kick-off meetings with suppliers and key partners; and

  • Supporting various department initiatives as required.

Required:

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field and two (2) to four (4) years of related experience in the SCM field OR significant business knowledge acquired through a combination of formal education and experience (an additional three years experience is required in lieu of a degree).

  • Proven communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with influencing and persuasive abilities.

Preferred:

  • Enrollment in the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) / Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation program or equivalent is an asset.

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.

  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
