We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Model-Based Developer - VMS with expertise in Aero Domain Control Laws to join our team at Bengaluru, India. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in developing control laws for aerospace systems using MBD methodologies and tools. The MBD Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and validating control laws for aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.


Position responsibilities:
•    Develop and implement control laws for aerospace systems using Model-Based Development techniques.
•    Collaborate with system engineers, flight dynamics experts, and other stakeholders to define control requirements and specifications.
•    Design and model control algorithms using MBD tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
•    Conduct simulations and analyze results to validate control laws and optimize system performance.
•    Implement control laws in embedded software and perform integration with hardware components.
•    Perform model verification and validation activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of control laws.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control laws with overall system architecture.
•    Stay updated with the latest advancements in MBD methodologies, control theory, and aerospace industry standards.
•    Participate in design reviews, code inspections, and other quality assurance activities.
•    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior MBD developers, as required.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
•    A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
•    5-6 years of Hands-on experience in Model-Based Development with a focus on Flight Management systems.
•    Experience with Model-Based Development as per DO-331 using MathWorks MATLAB/Simulink family products.
•    Ability to manage tasks and projects that involve peers across multiple disciplines.
•    Strong expertise in developing control laws for aerospace systems, including flight control systems, autopilots, or similar applications.
•    Proficiency in MBD tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink Test, Simulink Check or similar.
•    In-depth knowledge of control theory, stability analysis, and flight dynamics.
•    Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations for DO-178C
•    Experience with embedded software development and integration of control laws with hardware components.
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Excellent communication and documentation skills.
•    Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.


Typical Education & Experience:
•    Typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5+ years' related work experience or Master’s Degree with 4+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
