Job Summary
The Supervisor Plant Operations/Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall plant operations and maintenance, to include high pressure steam generation, chilled water production, building automation control, and all related mechanical systems.Pay Range
Minimum $84,573 Midpoint $112,050 Maximum $139,547Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or lead experience required. At least five (5) years related building maintenance experience with emphasis on maintenance, repair and semi-skilled craftsman of various building trades, including plumbing, electrical and painting.
• Preferred: Over six (6) years progressive experience at a senior level in a hospital facilities department. Two (2) or more years experience supervising others.
Education
• Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree in an engineering field.
Training
• Required: Requires sound working knowledge of and ability to interpret technical schematics, CAD drawings, blueprints, and equipment manufacturer's technical information. Requires working knowledge in The Joint Commission Environment of Care codes, SCAQMD, OSHA, EPA, and California Mechanical Code.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively in English. Ability to build and establish positive relationships with stakeholders and staff at all levels. Experience managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC?s mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations.
Licensure
• Required: Drivers License - Class C.
• Preferred: Steam Engineer or Unlimited steam plant license.
