The Opportunity

Our Finance Internship provides a meaningful, professional, hands-on experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. We hire students majoring in Finance/Business into our programs based on business needs. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities. 

Abbott’s global business enables you to work in a variety of fields, which may involve a number of the following activities:

• Support the RPA & RDA Program through reporting, project management, and optimizing BOT performance

• Facilitate global initiatives for Master Data Governance

• Accounts Payable Operational Excellence Project – Helpdesk intake, invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and divisional reporting

• Support financial operations and work on ad hoc projects assigned by the manager

• Support global manufacturing sites with Product Stewardship Program deliverables through data gathering and input into the Compliance Map application

• Prepare procedure updates and manage change orders

Our Finance Internship Program will involve working in one of the following locations based on assignment: 

• Dublin

What are we looking for?

Eligible applicants should be:

• Pursuing a third level Undergraduate or Post Graduate Finance/Business Qualification.

• Excellent communicators, team players and Innovators.

• Passionate about STEM and interested in pursuing a career in a STEM environment.

• Candidates should be striving towards a 2.1 Grade in their degree course.

• Available to commence a 9 or 12 month placement in 2024.

• Flexibility to be based at one of our sites around Ireland
