Position Overview:
We are seeking a Veterinary Equipment & Facilities Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team. This role is responsible for coordinating the sourcing, maintenance, asset tracking, and lifecycle management of veterinary medical equipment, as well as management of facility and service vendors that support hospital operations. The Specialist will oversee vendor performance, service agreements, expense forecasting, and budgeting to ensure hospitals receive timely and cost-effective support, as well as the capital expenditure (CapEx) requisition and approval process to ensure alignment with organizational standards and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and procure veterinary equipment, facility services, and vendors.
Act as the main contact for hospitals needing facilities or service support.
Manage vendor performance, contracts, and service agreements.
Track and manage the lifecycle of assets, including equipment and fleet vehicles.
Maintain accurate records of inventories, warranties, service agreements, and vendor contacts.
Standardize equipment, service, and facility contracts to improve efficiency and cost savings.
Support hospital teams with guidance on equipment, maintenance, and vendor use.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and CapEx approvals.
Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
Experience in procurement, asset management, vendor coordination, fleet management, CapEx, or facilities support.
Veterinary or medical equipment experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of veterinary hospital equipment and facility operations.
Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, organization, and communication.
Ability to manage multiple projects across a hospital network.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, veterinary technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
