We are currently looking to recruit a Product Marketer to join our award-winning business, in Rochdale on a hybrid basis. 

 

Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, this role assists in developing product strategy and the execution of product plans for designated products in Europe, Middle East, Africa & India.  

 

The Product Marketer is responsible for driving regional product growth and value for the Neogen range of veterinary instruments. This role partners with global to ensure the product needs of the region are recognised and integrated into Global Portfolio planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Works alongside the Product Marketing Manager to develop product strategy for designated products to drive product growth, value, and market share.  

  • Responsible for executing product marketing plans. Ensuring product plans align with regional targets and objectives. 

  • Manages regional product forecasting and works with Product Analyst on product pricing. 

  • Works alongside Product Marketing Manager on GTM strategy to support growth plans and maximise regional market share. Partnering with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory and other relevant stakeholders. 

  • Ensures product offerings are effectively differentiated and positioned in the market with a clear value proposition. Assessing current competitive offerings and seeking opportunities for differentiation. 

  • Partners with Customer Marketing to ensure active demand generation activities align with growth plans. 

  • Works with Customer Marketing to use customer insights to drive regional product programmes and campaigns. 

  • Understands market dynamics and competitive threats to help devise solutions and opportunities to navigate.  

  • Works with Customer Marketing to manage the content of Market Research and Voice of the Customer projects.  

  • Uncover and understand customer and market needs and translate them into requirements. 

  • Partners with Technical, Sales, Regulatory, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective relationships with key companies, influencers, and opinion leaders to anticipate and influence as appropriate changing market dynamics for optimum outcomes for Animal Safety and Neogen. 

  • Works with Product Analyst to manage product data and pricing. 

  • Owns product materials including, PI sheets, packaging and labels. 

  • Works with Customer Marketing on product-related marketing materials including PI Sheets and other assets.  

  • Creates and implements successful launches and product campaigns. 

  • Works alongside Product Marketing Manager to manage product lifecycle and product-related changes including internal and external notifications.  

  • Assists in training the Sales teams on new and existing products, to support sales and create internal interest.  

  • Keep suitable PowerPoint presentations and product-related literature updated as required for assigned product lines. 
     

 

 

Skills & Experience Required: 

 

  • Previous experience in product marketing, product management, or similar role. 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related discipline is desirable. 

  • Relevant scientific and/or agricultural experience is desirable but not essential. 

  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, ability to identify and understand customer needs and execute plans effectively. 

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, collaborative and team-oriented. 

  • Knowledge of internal business functional areas, and external market (customers, industry, competitors, competitor products, trends, etc.) 

  • High attention to detail. 

  • Knowledge and experience in market research and product marketing/management.  

  • Excellent communication (Verbal & Written) skills are essential. 

  • Good written English and grammar essential.
