Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW 

  • To own, assist, and support in different facets of the wider Accounts team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Process month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.

  • Ownership of eSports accounting

  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations 

  • Support with audits interim and statutory 

  • Assist with system implementations

  • Involvement within VAT return once cash accounting has been changed

  • Provide cover for purchase ledger with a good understanding of VAT rules

  • Process expenses, as required

  • Assist with credit control

  • Provide cover with bank reconciliations, as required

  • Ad-hoc analysis support

  • Ad hoc project work 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in accounts, AAT or someone who has studied their first level of CIMA/ACCA.

  • Experienced in using Sage 50 

  • Experience of working within football, media or TV/Film, dealing with royalties or profit participation commissions

  • Good reconciliation knowledge

  • Multi-currency experience

  • Good knowledge and understanding of VAT

  • Experience of purchase ledger

  • Good understanding of VAT relating to T & E

  • Experience of sales ledger experience

  • Willingness to learn new areas to grow with the role

  • Additional language beneficial but not essential (Spanish, German or Portuguese)
