Job Description:

This position is responsible for in and outbound calls to help collect back overpayments from our provider or members. Provides excellent customer service and has an understanding of claims processing. Works closely with our Accounts Receivable area to support. Strong work ethics and ability to work independently.


PAYROLL:
This position is responsible for completing payroll functions, including processing, analyzing, researching, and problem solving. This position is responsible to ensure that caregivers are paid correctly according to policies and regulations. This position is a resource regarding payroll processes, policies, and regulations for their designated area of responsibility.

REIMBURSEMENT:
This position is responsible for summarizing remittance advices, reviewing revenue cycle posting of Medicare and Medicaid claims and reconciling cash payments, downloading logs, and reviewing log payment discrepancies, etc. After training, routine tasks may require review.

REVENUE CYCLE - CASH POSTING:
This position is responsible for preparing, reconciling, and posting cash remittances received from various insurance plans and patients. At times, this position is required to log into various payer secured websites to locate and download missing remittance files.

Schedule - Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Essential Functions

  • Solves problems within an accounting application or process.  Performs a variety of calculating, verifying, posting, and summarizing tasks in maintaining assigned segments of financial records.

  • Performs routine, repetitive tasks in recording day-to-day transactions related to reconciliations, systems, and reports.

  • Resolves errors and notifies appropriate personnel to prevent future occurrences.  Researches routine issues and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • Provides excellent customer service to colleagues and customers with timely and professional phone calls, instant messages and emails.

  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability by taking responsibility for tasks and exemplifies dependable attendance.

  • Manages a volume of work to meet required deadlines and set department goals.

  • Understands and appropriately interprets Intermountain policies and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Education will be verified.
  • Intermediate-level typing and personal computer skills are required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for numbers and the ability to learn common business applications for either education or job experience is required.
  • Completion of college-level finance and/or accounting courses is preferred.
  • Specialized knowledge of one or more financial applications is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate equipment with precision and accuracy.  This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$18.93 - $27.45
