Why is this role important at Infobip?

As a Software Engineer in our Platform team, you will help build and evolve the core foundation that enables scalable, reliable communications across voice, messaging, and beyond. You will join a cross-functional team focused on building and maintaining scalable backend services in a dynamic environment where priorities and domains can evolve over time. The role emphasizes strong backend engineering, close collaboration with Product Development, and flexibility in what you work on.

What will you do at Infobip?

• Design, develop, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot services primarily using Java for backend and Typescript (React) for frontend
• Take full ownership of the code you produce, from development to production support
• Write well-designed, testable, and scalable code following clean code principles
• Build and operate distributed, parallel systems that communicate across multiple data centers
• Work extensively with relational databases as part of data-intensive backend services
• Collaborate in cross-functional Scrum teams through planning, breakdown, and delivery while contributing to knowledge sharing and growth within the engineering community
• Work closely with Product Development to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to a flexible team setup that may evolve or split based on domain and product needs

More about you:

• At least 3+ years of professional experience working with Java
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building distributed backend services
• Experience or solid understanding of multithreading and parallel systems in Java
• Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MSSQL
• Comfortable working in an agile Scrum environment with regular ceremonies and sprint-based delivery
• Applying an AI-first mindset when approaching engineering problems.
• Effectively leveraging AI to improve code quality, testing processes, and technical documentation
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written

Nice to have qualifications:

• Experience with Maven, especially in multi-module projects
• Understanding of RMI or similar remote communication frameworks.
• Familiarity with messaging or caching technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis
• Experience working in dynamic environments where priorities and domains can change over time
