What you will do:
- Running programs of work, projects from conception to completion
- Performing assigned engineering work
- Writing and modifying standard practices
- Training and mentoring new employees
- Performing technical reviews on project drawings
- Provide field Engineering support to construction work
- Leading and planning groups of related projects over a long-term timeline
- Project selection, high level cost estimating, multi-year budget planning and management report-out
- Project creation, design proposal, managing supporting resources (Survey Design Drafting, Construction), contract management, construction support, records closeout schedule creatin and management, budget tracking and forecasting
- Engineering support on projects will include design creation, design reviews, cost estimation, overall system compatibility, technical compliance to standards and codes, contract support and records closeout support
- Occasional group training and technical presentations will be required
- Work independently while also having the ability to collaborate with and lead various teams
- Devise innovative approaches to problems encountered and offer improvements to processes and other systems in place
- May serve as a technical authority on engineering related legal and regulatory issues to outside entities
Who you are:
You have:
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in addition to having a bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program
- Strong familiarity and understanding of related industry codes and regulations, including 49 CFR part 192, ASME 31.8 and other applicable pipe, valves, fittings and material codes along with full knowledge of engineering theories and principles
- Validated decision making skills and can work independently as well as in a team environment
You can:
- Show strong leadership skills with the confirmed ability to serve as a team project lead
- Think analytically to solve sophisticated problems in addition to interpreting codes, regulations and practices
- Process information quickly and effectively while managing multiple tasks and offer strong planning, organizational and project management skills
You are:
- An excellent written and verbal communicator with strong technical writing abilities
- Skilled in the use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and subject areas
- Proficient in using a computer with in depth knowledge of various computer applications with the ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Matlab, Excel, etc)

Working Conditions:
- Work performed in typical office environment 90% of the time with 10% of the work being completed outside being exposed to cold and loud noises with 5% travel

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
